In 2025 Lamborghini unveils the Temerario, a plug-in hybrid boasting 920 horsepower, marking a significant step forward in the automaker’s High-Performance Electrified Vehicle range
The Temerario retains the thoroughbred Lamborghini DNA, but its latest masterpiece boasts a sharper, more aggressive design, including a more spacious, comfortable interior and a brand-new engine developed from scratch in-house at the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory.
The Termerario’s innovations, new aesthetics and cleaner lines designed by the Lamborghini Centro Stile are unmistakably Lamborghini. Entirely new features include an ultra-light alloy spaceframe chassis which provides torsional rigidity with a significant reduction in the car’s weight and enhanced aerodynamics, increasing rear downforce by 103%, reaching up to 158% with the optional Alleggerita package.
Under the hood is a potent 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors providing a total power output of 920 CV and 2,150 Nm of torque.
This makes it the first and only production super sports car engine capable of reaching 10,000 rpm. The performance is an absolute revelation. Its maximum speed of over 340 km/h (210+ mph) delivers blistering acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in a mere 2.7 seconds.
However, it can also operate in fully electric mode, reducing CO2 emissions by 50% compared to its predecessor, the Lamborghini Huracán. A 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery contributes to the car’s weight balance and low centre of gravity. It can be fully charged in only 30 minutes using AC power, the engine, or regenerative braking.
The Temerario’s interior has been completely redesigned to offer occupants more space and comfort. Features like low-mounted seats, a slim dashboard, and an inclined steering wheel embody Lamborghini’s philosophy of making the person behind the wheel feel like a racing driver. With this in mind, the combination of a cutting-edge digital interface (Pilot Interaction) with premium materials such as carbon fibre, leather, and Corsatex microfibre creates a cohesive and engaging driving experience.
The Temerario comes with a €323,952 price tag, including delivery costs. While this might place it out of reach for most, it is significantly less expensive than the exclusive Sián, which costs €3.36 million.
