Bentley Continental GT – Luxury Hybrid

The British marque has transformed its entire Continental range into a plug-in hybrid line-up, delivering outputs of up to 782 bhp and an impressive 85 kilometres of electric-only driving.

Bentley Motors has reworked its entire Continental range around plug-in hybrid power. Both the GT and Convertible are now offered exclusively with electrified V8 powertrains, available in two outputs: the 680 bhp High-Performance Hybrid and the 782 bhp Ultra-Performance Hybrid reserved for the Speed models. Pure electric range reaches up to 85 kilometres.

Built around a 4.0-litre V8 paired with two levels of hybrid assistance, the new Continental range reflects Bentley’s vision of the ‘daily supercar’: effortless performance combined with long-distance comfort and everyday usability. Buyers can choose between a range of distinct characters, from the comfort-oriented Azure to the sharper Speed, with Mulliner sitting at the top of the range as the most exclusive option.

This fourth-generation Continental also introduces a softer, more coupé-like rear profile and a cleaner, more horizontal design language that gives the car a more contemporary presence. New ‘Harmony’ headlights, inspired by the intricate patterns of cut crystal, feature an animated lighting sequence that greets the driver on approach.

While the silhouette has evolved, the redesigned Continental remains faithful to the hallmarks that have defined the model since its debut in 2003. The iconic Bentley grille, lower bumper intakes and front splitter have all been subtly refined.

The exterior brightwork retains its classic chrome finish, including the signature oval surrounds that frame the twin exhaust outlets.

Under the skin, the Bentley Active Chassis system combines Dynamic Ride active suspension, rear-wheel steering, and an electronic limited-slip differential, with Comfort, Bentley and Sport driving modes. The result is performance that feels smooth, progressive and remarkably easy to access across a broad range of road conditions.

Inside, the Continental GT cabin stays true to Bentley’s traditional approach, pairing hand-crafted construction with leather, fine wood veneers and extensive personalisation options. The electrically adjustable seats offer heating, ventilation and massage functions, while temperature and pressure-adjustment systems are designed to reduce fatigue on longer journeys.

The technology package includes a fully digital instrument display, comprehensive infotainment connectivity and distinctive features such as the Bentley Rotating Display. Driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, night vision and a head-up display, along with a wider suite of technologies designed to improve comfort and long- distance usability.
