Frauscher 850 Fantom Air

The Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air is not simply a sports boat with the soul of a car. It is, quite literally, an electric Porsche designed for the water — the first of its kind. The project emerged from a collaboration between Austrian boatbuilder Frauscher and the Stuttgart marque, which adapted the technology from its electric road cars to a high- performance nautical format.

Below deck sits a synchronous motor producing up to 544 bhp, powered by a 100 kWh battery with an 800-volt architecture. The result is the immediate, linear acceleration associated with Porsche’s electric models, together with the ability to fast-charge from 10 to 80 per cent in around half an hour. On the water, it reaches approximately 45 knots (85 km/h) and offers a realistic range of two to three hours of sporty cruising.

Conceived as an open day boat, the on-board experience reinforces that philosophy: the steering wheel, digital interface and driving modes — Docking, Range, Sport and Sport Plus — are designed with the feel of a sports car in mind, but in near-total silence, without vibration or emissions. At 8.67 metres in length and with a capacity for nine passengers, it is built for immediate pleasure. It is not merely a styling exercise, it represents the electrification of nautical luxury with unmistakably automotive DNA.
