Hurtan – Haute Couture on four wheels

Hurtan is the Spanish equivalent of Morgan Motors and boasts a proud history of building exclusive,
made-to-measure cars in Granada

Hurtan is synonymous with the very best in quality, luxury and exclusivity. Their cars are renowned for their elegance and exquisite finishes down to the finest detail. They are handcrafted, unique cars with classic designs that are full of style and personality but packed with the latest technology and equipment.

One example is the Author. It is based on the Chrysler PT Cruiser Cabrio. Inspired by the classic lines of the 1950s and 1960s, it is a four-seater convertible with a 2.4-litre Daimler-Chrysler engine and a choice of two versions, 143 hp or 223 hp turbo, plus a choice of automatic or manual transmission.

A Hurtan car means a choice of finishes and details that makes each car utterly unique. The brand and its customers work hand in hand as Hurtan artisans hand build the car to each customer’s specifications, a process which can take up to four hundred hours in models like the Author.

Hurtan Grand Albaycin
Hurtan’s latest offering is the Grand Albaycín, named after a famous neighbourhood in Granada. Only thirty units will be produced with the possibility of a hybrid version ready for next year. It is based on the Mazda MX5 engine and has the same retro elegance and exclusive design aesthetics as its predecessors.

The Grand Albaycín boasts striking two-tone roadster bodywork, elegant wood finishes, perforated leather upholstery, matching upholstered steering wheel, panels and accessories and 17” wheels inspired by spoked wheels. There are two trims to choose from: the classic Heritage style or the Bespoke, which has a sportier look on a Cabriolet or Targa body and 1.5 litres 132-hp or 2.0 litre 184-hp engines.

It’s impossible not to be impressed by the new Hurtan. Its retro design built on a new platform means owners have peace of mind knowing that each unit comes with European approval and warranty. As it’s powered by Mazda, maintenance is carried out at the Japanese brand’s official dealers, where each vehicle and its owner will receive a personalised service.
