Luxury dining al fresco

An outdoor dining space is the summer’s star venue – a place to sit back and relax and enjoy the gift of Lanzarote’s sunny days and balmy nights

It’s the star of the summer, and the most sought-after venue for relaxed breakfasts, Sunday brunches, barbecues, lounging and laughing with friends, setting the world to rights and romantic dinners. An outdoor dining area should not only reflect your style and personality but also provide an alfresco sanctuary, beautifully decorated with comfort and practicality in mind.

The most exclusive outdoor furniture and furnishing firms usually boast a portfolio of designer furniture that are works of art in their own right. For example, the luxury Belgian outdoor furniture brand Royal Botania has a flagship range that features the creations of one of the company’s founders, Kris Van Puyvelde.

While the tables are the focus of each collection, the chairs are also worthy of special mention. The individual pieces come together and complete an overall look that offers comfort and elegance. The ergonomic curves in comfortable rounded shapes hug you as you sit and relax.

Royal Botania’s Styletto collection takes inspiration from the bold, stylish high-heeled shoes of the same name. The sleek aluminium framed design is available in a range of tables, including low dining, counter height and bar height tables and chairs, as well as luxury loungers.

Other eye-catching designs by Van Puyvelde can be seen in the Exes collection, with chairs made of two X-shaped structures and the tables of the Conix collection, which takes its name from the conical shape of the reinforced Ductal concrete base topped with a choice of round or elliptical ceramic or polished concrete tops.

The brand’s oyster inspired Ostrea line mimics the ribs of an oyster shell with curved lines that envelop you in their comforting embrace. Equally appealing and probably the most iconic of its ranges is the Ninix collection, which offers both minimum and maximum – minimalist design with an emphasis on sleek, clean lines and maximum in terms of quality, material selection, optimised ergonomics and refinement in quality and design.
