La Graciosa is the only inhabited island of all the islets in the Chinijo Archipelago. As of 2018, it is officially the eighth Canary Island. Ferry services run from Órzola, carrying passengers on a pleasant ride to the harbour at Caleta de Sebo. La Graciosa is a paradise of peace and quiet with beautiful natural coves to explore such as La Concha, La Francesa and Montaña Amarilla.
Its main harbour town, Caleta de Sebo, has streets of jable sand, a few houses and a total of barely six hundred and fifty inhabitants. Only three hundred cars are allowed, which for many people is too many. There are two small supermarkets and a handful of restaurants, bars and tourist apartments. The other inhabited area on La Graciosa is Pedro Barba, which was the first and origianl settlement on the island. Now, it is the summer getaway for a few wealthy families, mainly from Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. La Graciosa also offers a diving centre, several off-road jeep excursion companies and bicycle hire.
