The legendary luxury car brand from Barcelona, Hispano Suiza makes its comeback with the limited edition Carmen Boulogne. This exclusive 100% electric hypercar boasts 1,114 hp and a top speed of 290 km/h. It’s so exclusive that only 5 units will ever be made.
With the exception of its stylised rear mudguards and exclusive finishes, the Carmen Boulogne’s avant-garde design is a style departure for this Spanish brand. Founded in 1904, it was taken over by Snecma in 1968. The company’s original founders, the Suqué Mateu family, reached an agreement with the French owners in 2000 to manufacture prototypes with 85% of the components manufactured in Barcelona.
After presenting their high performance supercar at the Geneva Motor Show in 2020, Hispano Suiza confirmed that the Carmen Boulogne will be delivered in 2022.
Its two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) give it acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds. Thanks to its carbon fibre chassis and bodywork, it weighs only 1,630 kg and has a T-shaped battery pack that allows rapid charging, from 30% to 80%, in just thirty minutes.
Past and present merge inside the cabin with a 10.1-inch multifunctional touchscreen behind the steering wheel. All surrounded by copper, orange and brown interiors and hand-crafted textile finishes. The least sustainable aspect is its price: 1.65 million euros (excluding tax).
