Michelin star turrón

The world of Spanish confection, turrón, has undergone a whirlwind of innovation and now boasts daring flavours like Iberian ham, Chupa Chups lollipops, doughnuts, and even mojito flavours! This year, renowned chefs Albert Adrià, Quique Dacosta, Ángel León, and Jordi Roca, all Michelin star holders, have partnered with Torrons Vicens to create groundbreaking túrrones inspired by their regional roots and personal culinary expertise.
Quique Dacosta: Turrón with Mediterranean pine flavours, combining almond praline, caramelised pine nuts, wafers, and pine caramel. He also crafted a rice and saffron version featuring saffron almonds, orange blossom caramel, and crisped rice.
Jordi Roca: A toffee apple-inspired turrón blending crunchy almond praline, tangy apple caramel, apple ganache and vanilla crisp with a sablé Breton base. He also created a creamy turrón with crunchy cream, sheep milk dulce de leche, cookie, and guava caramel.
Albert Adrià: A Cantonese-style pecan and marzipan cream turrón. Additionally, he created a turrón featuring citrus mandarin and yuzu with a contrasting sweet chocolate twist.
Ángel León: Pioneered the use of plankton in turrón, incorporating it into his caramel and chocolate-flavoured creations. He also crafted a Moroccan lemon turrón with caramel ganache, almond praline, and warm, aromatic ras el hanout spices.
