Lotus completes its electric trio with this fully electric Hyper GT boasting 918 hp, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.78 seconds, and a range of 610 kilometres
Lotus has unveiled the Emeya, a four-door, 5.1-metre-long electric super saloon that blends performance and luxury. It brings together Lotus’ design and engineering DNA with the latest cutting-edge technologies to set a new benchmark for what it means to drive an electric car. This fully electric hyper grand tourer joins this legendary British automaker’s electric stable alongside their first fully electric Hyper-SUV, the Eletre, and their upcoming Evija 2,000-hp hypercar, still 80% under development. Priced at around £94,450 (approximately €110,000) per unit, customers can expect the first Emeya deliveries in early 2025.
The exterior of the Emeya echoes the Lotus electric lineage and shares design elements with its electric siblings. For example, the large front air intakes are reminiscent of the Evija, while the two-tier headlights draw inspiration from the Eletre. The Emeya’s sculpted hood and other active aerodynamic features, such as the front grille, are particularly striking, along with the flush door handles (which only deploy when they are going to be used) or the digital rearview mirrors.
The Emeya’s rear design is clean and sophisticated with a minimalist aesthetic. Standout elements include a sleek, continuous LED lightbar and seamlessly integrated exhaust outlets. An active spoiler further enhances aerodynamic performance, generating an impressive 215 kilogrammes of downforce.
Emeya’s next-generation intelligent cabin provides unparalleled driver-car connection, a testament to technological elegance. It showcases a minimalist design that is highly functional yet exudes luxury through its premium materials like Alcantara and Nappa leather, complemented by aluminium accents. Its Formula 1-inspired steering wheel boasts integrated controls on its sides, and the instrument panel is fully digital with a 15.1-inch touchscreen incorporating a multimedia system and a cutting-edge augmented reality head-up display.
At the heart of the Emeya lies a potent electric powertrain delivering 918 horsepower and 985 Nm of torque with an all-wheel drive and a two-speed transmission. This formidable performance translates to a breathtaking 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 2.78 seconds and a top speed of 256 kilometres per hour. Equipped with a 102-kWh battery, the Emeya offers a range of 610 kilometres, and its 350-kilowatt charging capacity allows it to recover from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.
