The 84-metre-long superyacht, White Rabbit Golf, is a record-breaker – the largest trimaran in the world, and the most expensive – valued at $100 million.
Designed and built in Henderson, Australia, White Rabbit Golf showcases superlative engineering flair and audacity. It is owned by Singaporean paint magnate Goh Cheng Liang, now 91. Delivered in 2018 and refitted in 2021, this 84-metre trimaran with a 19.6-metre beam spans three decks, and both its hull and superstructure are entirely aluminium.
The yacht boasts eleven cabins, two of them full master suites, comfortably accommodating up to 22 guests, alongside its 34-strong crew. Furthermore, it has multiple lounges, two separate dining rooms, a jacuzzi, a cinema, a six- person dive preparation room, and a lift serving three decks. These are just some of the amenities aboard White Rabbit Golf, which offers over 1,200 m2 of palatial accommodation.
This floating luxury home is capable of reaching a cruising speed of 19.5 knots (36 km/h)—an impressive feat given its gross weight of nearly 3,000 tonnes. It achieves this silently and smoothly, with virtually no vibration, thanks to its Naiad manoeuvring control and a cutting-edge Kongsberg/STADT and Rolls-Royce diesel-electric propulsion system. At a slower speed of 12 knots, it commands an extensive cruising range of 5,500 nautical miles.
This masterpiece was crafted by Australian builder Echo Yachts, with exterior design by WRG and innovative hull development by One2Three. This specific hull design is highly efficient, achieving up to 40% lower fuel consumption than monohull yachts of equivalent volume. Another advantage of the trimaran’s hull is its stability in rough seas, though it prefers calmer waters.
