Valhalla – Aston Martin’s Supercar with Viking DNA

Introducing Valhalla – Aston Martin’s first series- production,mid-enginedsupercar.Itsfirstplug-inhybrid. And the first with a dedicated all-electric range

In Norse mythology, Valhalla is a mythical place. It is the great hall in Asgard, the realm of the gods, where Odin welcomes warriors who have fallen honourably in battle. British carmaker Aston Martin pays tribute to this legend with its most eagerly awaited supercar, bringing together Formula 1 technology with a cutting-edge design by Adrian Newey and pro-supervision under the watchful eye of Spanish driver Fernadno Alonso who tested it on the Monaco circuit.

Under the bonnet lies a state-of-the-art hybrid powertrain combining a combustion engine with three electric motors. This hybrid heart beats with a 4.0-litre, flat-plane crank twin-turbo V8, derived from the Mercedes-AMG GT, but re- engineered at Gaydon HQ to unleash a staggering 828 CV compared to the German model’s 510 hp. The three electric motors contribute an additional 251 CV, bringing the total output to a phenomenal 1,079 CV. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the Valhalla rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 350 km/h.

The Valhalla is a car of firsts for Aston Martin: its first series production mid-engined supercar, its first-ever plug- in hybrid, and its first to offer a dedicated electric-only range. The body is crafted almost entirely from carbon fibre, keeping the weight down to a lean 1,655 kg while optimising airflow for maximum downforce.

It also debuts the most powerful V8 ever installed in an Aston Martin and introduces the brand’s new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) delivering precise performance while offering the visceral sensation of a manual gearbox. Production will be limited to a run of just 999 units, each virtually hand- built, highly exclusive and extensively customisable.

The Valhalla’s exterior design is the work of Adrian Newey. It is essentially a more restrained interpretation of the radical Valkyrie. The aerodynamics have been softened, yet they remain fundamental to the car’s design.

Inside, the Valkyrie inspiration is equally evident with a cockpit that gives a distinct nod to Formula 1. It features low- mounted, bespoke one-piece carbon fibre seats, a carbon fibre steering wheel and twin digital displays boasting exclusive graphics.
