The freshly launched iPhone 17 features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 2,622 × 1,206-pixel resolution, ProMotion technology and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It is water and dust-resistant to IP68 and weighs just 177 g. Inside, the A19 chip, built on a 3 nm process, delivers clear gains in performance and efficiency. The dual camera system pairs a 48 MP main lens with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an improved ultra-wide lens of equal quality. Storage starts at 256 GB, and connectivity is thoroughly up to date with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and a next- generation 5G modem. All of this makes a strong case for upgrading now – or is it better to hold out for Apple’s most hotly anticipated new arrival, the iPhone X Fold, expected in the second half of 2026? Early rumours suggest 12 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of storage and a launch price at or above 2,000 dollars.
