After the initial spooky surprise, kids can join in the fun and help make more!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><em>Ingredients<\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Sausages<\/li>\n<li>Ready-rolled puff pastry (amount depends on the number of sausages you\u2019re making)<\/li>\n<li>Sliced cheese (e.g. cheddar) &#8211; optional<\/li>\n<li>Cream cheese (for the eyes)<\/li>\n<li>Butter or margarine (to melt and brush the pastry)<\/li>\n<li>Chia seeds (or sesame seeds, for the pupils of the eyes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><em>Method<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 190\u00b0C (375\u00b0F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the puff pastry into rectangles, one per sausage, and cut them into thin strips to resemble bandages.<br \/>\nCut each slice of cheese into four strips. Place each sausage on a piece of cheese and wrap it in the pastry \u2018bandage\u2019.<br \/>\nPlace the \u2018mummies\u2019 on the baking sheet and brush with melted butter (or beaten egg) for a golden finish.<br \/>\nBake (12-15 minutes) until the pastry is golden brown and cooked.<br \/>\nRemove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
