{"id":2559,"date":"2022-07-01T00:01:40","date_gmt":"2022-06-30T23:01:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.viva-lanzarote.com\/pan-fried-teriyaki-salmon\/"},"modified":"2022-06-14T12:59:24","modified_gmt":"2022-06-14T11:59:24","slug":"pan-fried-teriyaki-salmon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.viva-lanzarote.com\/en\/pan-fried-teriyaki-salmon\/","title":{"rendered":"Pan-fried Teriyaki Salmon"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><em><strong>Ingredients (Serves 4)<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>300g fresh salmon fillets (skin removed)<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons white sesame seeds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Teriyaki<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bd cup mild soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup dry white wine<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons honey<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon rice vinegar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Garnish<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2-3 gherkins per person<\/li>\n<li>Fleur de sel<\/li>\n<li>Extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><em><strong>Method<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<p>First make the Teriyaki sauce; put all its ingredients in a saucepan, bring to the boil then allow to reduce over a low heat for 10-15 minutes. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare a plate with sesame seeds and set aside then move on to cooking the salmon. Remove the bones and place the salmon skin side up in the pan and sear on a high heat until a golden brown crust forms on both sides, this seals in the flavour and goodness. Then dip in the bed of sesame seeds.<\/p>\n<p>To serve, slice the salmon and pour over the Teriyaki sauce (or serve sauce separately).
