Although beyond the reach of most pockets, Novitec\u2019s customized McLaren Elva offers a precision-tuned luxury automobile that is a creature of rare beauty<\/em><\/h3>\n

Elva is the latest creation from Woking-based McLaren. This two-seater windscreenless supercar, with a limited-edition production run of just 399 units, is the epitome of beauty and elegance inspired by the racecars of the 60s. It is now available in a precision-tuned version courtesy of German automotive refinement specialist, Novitec. The price tag? Around 1,657,500 euros for the standard model but expect to pay close to 1.8 million euros for Novitec\u2019s version.<\/p>\n

Its hallmark is that it has no roof or windscreen, but fear not, face and hair are protected by its Active Air Management System (AAMS), which sends air through the speedster’s front air intake and out over the bonnet at high-speed creating a windshield or ‘calm bubble’ effect. An actual lightweight windscreen is an optional extra, coming heated, with windscreen wipers and rain sensors.<\/p>\n

A look under the rear bonnet reveals impressive specs. It\u2019s powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with the plug-and-play Novitec N-Tronic module that delivers 920 bhp and 888 Nm (815 bhp and 800 Nm as standard). It adds a higher-performance exhaust system and a suspension that lowers the body by 20 millimetres. Novitec also added a set of forged seven-twin-spoke wheels, 20-inch at the front and 21-inch at the rear. In terms of performance, the improvements give an acceleration from 0 to 100 km\/h in 2.7 seconds, 0 to 200 in less than 4.0 and a top speed of 330 km\/h.<\/p>\n

Its imposing styling features a carbon fibre splitter at the front, a sharp LED light cluster and a large air intake in the centre of the bonnet; two intakes before the rear wheel arches, doors that open in butterfly wings, each with its mirror. At the rear (let\u2019s face it, the view most will get), the engine cover is shaped like two bubbles that merge with the seat headrests and optimise aerodynamics, an imposing diffuser, two central, integrated exhaust outlets and tailpipes.<\/p>\n

The interior reveals a carbon steering wheel, a fully digital cockpit, and McLaren Special Operations (MSO) personalisation options offer exclusive leathers, colour blends, 18-carat or 24-carat gold badges and logos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
