Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg is an expert at designing and producing supercars with unique technological solutions. It also boasts a reputation for its almost handcrafted manufacturing processes. In recent years, its factory in \u00c4ngelholm, 460 kilometres southwest of Stockholm, has produced technological prodigies that surpass Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, Bugatti, etc. in terms of performance. Now, with the Gemera it has excelled itself and even its Regera, a sports car with the soul of a GT whose top speed exceeds 400 km\/h.<\/p>\n

The Gemera is a grand tourer (GT) measuring almost five metres long and two metres wide. It weighs in at 1,850 kilos and has four separate seats and two B-pillar-less scissor doors (KATSAD). The interior is spacious, luxurious and comfortable. Its instrumentation is fully digital with a large screen on the centre console in tablet format, a digital instrument panel in front of the steering wheel and another on the right for the co-driver. The exterior is the very essence of a sleek megacar, with sharp lines, well-thought-out aerodynamics and powerful aesthetics with carbon fibre features, the same material used in its monocoque chassis.<\/p>\n

\"Koenigsegg<\/a>
\nIts powertrain is a 1,724 hp plug-in hybrid prodigy. Three electric motors are split between the two rear wheels, yielding 500 hp each, and the third is attached to the crankshaft. In total it boasts 1,115 hp of maximum power. The fourth three-cylinder, 2.0-litre, twin-turbocharged engine comes in the form of the \u2018Tiny Friendly Giant\u2019, fitted with a unique Freevalve system that provides another 600 bhp and 450kW of power that can run on any renewable fuel, from ethanol to conventional petrol, E85 or methanol.<\/p>\n

With a full load of passengers and luggage and a full tank, it has a range of 1,000 km, and 50 km with EV alone and can reach speeds of up to 300 km\/h. In addition, at full power, the Gemera can accelerate from 0-100 km\/h in 1.9 seconds and also exceeds 400 km\/h top speed. Koenigsegg will only build 300 units of the Gemera, each one with a price tag of around 1.7 million euros.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
