This is the name of the open-top version of the Maserati MC20, the Modena-based company’s last internal combustion engine supercar before going all electric in 2025<\/h3>\n

While the motor industry in the rest of the world is stripping back, Maserati is full steam ahead, celebrating the production of its last internal combustion engine open-top sports car. It’s a final nod to lovers of the exhaust’s emblematic roar before launching its electric version planned for 2025.<\/p>\n

Called ‘Cielo’ (sky), its key feature is its innovative retractable, glass roof designed with PDLC technology (Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal), which changes from opaque to clear at the touch of a button, giving the sensation of wide-open skies with the top up or down. It is, according to Maserati, the best in its class in terms of acoustic insulation, plus it can be removed, folded and stowed in twelve seconds, even when driving at 50 km\/h.<\/p>\n

Maserati’s new mid-engined, carbon-fibre-bodied spyder supercar shares the 3.0 litre V6 Nettuno engine with its coup\u00e9 cousin. Its twin-turbo engine, with a combustion system derived from Formula 1, generates 630 hp and delivers maximum torque of 730 Nm. Its eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox sends all the power to the rear for the Cielo to reach 100 km\/h from a standstill in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 325 km\/h. To control so much power, it has four driving modes: GT, Sport, Corsa and Wet.<\/p>\n

A mesmerising new colour has been designed exclusively for the Cielo; a three-layer metallic colour called Acquamarina, a grey base infused with iridescent aquamarine mica. Other available colours are Bianco Audace, Genio Yellow, Vincente Red, Infinite Blue and Incognito Grey. The Cielo will be available at the end of 2022, priced at around 265,000 euros.

\"Maserati<\/a><\/p>\n

Visual drama comes with its spectacular butterfly doors and its 20-inch wheels with a new design of diamond-cut alloy wheel rims, shortly available in carbon fibre. Its digital instrumentation includes a 10.25-inch central screen with integrated MIA (Maserati Intelligent Assistant) multimedia system with a 12-speaker Sonus Faber High Premium sound system as an optional extra.<\/p>\n

Safety features include a 360\u00ba camera, autonomous emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist recognition (AEB), traffic sign detection (TSI) and blind spot monitoring, as well as parking assistance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
