For him, keeping the cold at bay are knitted polo shirts, sweaters and combat boots<\/em><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>For her<\/strong><\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Keep your options open this season with sophisticated and comfy knits; think matching sets and two or three-piece ensembles courtesy of Jil Sander, Altuzarra and Proenza Schouler. For a more dramatic statement, Burberry, Marni, Chlo\u00e9, Fendi and Khaite bring us the theatrics and pure practicability of their XL bags, so capacious they put Mary Poppins\u2019 bag to shame. Outerwear offers leopard print, faux-fur coats and safari jackets. Animal prints also extend to dresses, coats and accessories by Dior, Rokh, Etro, Michael Kors and Dolce &amp; Gabbana.<\/p>\n<p>Two wardrobe essentials include silver, in clothes and footwear and logos, which remain a firm favourite. Gucci, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Paco Rabanne and Saint Laurent opt for bringing the party look into everyday wear. Luxury designer brands Versace, Chanel, Balmain, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Balenciaga lead the pack with their logos featuring heavily in print designs, taking branding to a whole new level. Many other labels are following their lead and jumping onto a similar branding bandwagon.<\/p>\n<p>Pleated skirts, pinafores, cardigans, checked prints, socks and loafers all herald the comeback of the preppy, college look with labels like Monse, Lorenzo Serafini, Saint Laurent and Celine all getting in on the act. Conversely, footwear is taken to new heights with maxi platforms \u00e0 la Versace, Prada, Schiaparelli&#8230; not suitable for the faint-hearted! Fur and sheepskin coats, are given a new lease of life thanks to new sustainable versions produced in synthetic and biodegradable fabrics by Stella McCartney, Prada, Burberry, Fendi, Gucci, Chanel and Jil Sander.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>For him<\/strong><\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Still trending from last season are knitted polo shirts, waistcoats and sweaters, as too are oversized coats with a slightly dropped shoulder, in sturdy cold-resistant materials, belts optional. Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Ermenegildo Zegna all offer great designs in this style and along with Dries Van Noten, they are also backing the classic, beige, shin-length, belted trench coat. Meanwhile, the black, three-quarter length leather coat continues to hold its own.<\/p>\n<p>Knitted polo shirts come in two main styles \u2013 there\u2019s the more streetwear, oversize option, delivered by Ermenegildo Zegna and Isabel Marant or alternatively, the slim fit, wide-collar version from Herm\u00e8s, Jil Sander and Prada. Knitted waistcoats and tank tops are still a strong look, together with sweaters, in general. Colours can be neutral and dark tones, whilst Etro, Casablanca, Dior Men, Herm\u00e8s, Loewe, Tod&#8217;s, Prada and Canali all offer knits in bright, vibrant shades.<\/p>\n<p>The monotone &#8216;total look&#8217; is still going strong, combined with chunky combat boots and micro bags.
