Songs For SARA 2023 Fundraiser for SARA Animal Shelter Lanzarote to be held May 28th
The organizers of the fundraiser for the SARA Animal Shelter Lanzarote will hold the event again this year, Songs For SARA 2023 with a live benefit concert on Sunday May 28th from 12 noon to 6 p at Marcos Bar, Los Pocillos, Puerto del Carmen.
Started during the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020, the first year´s event was held exclusively on-line, with livestreamed performances from local and international musical artists. This year, all live performances will be held at the event site, though the event itself will be livestreamed on different platforms, including the Songs For SARA 2023 Facebook group page.
This year´s event will be the third, with the last two years raising about €10.000 for the cause. The organizers are hoping to match or exceed that amount this year with donations being accepted at the May 28th event and online at the group´s fundraising site at Go Fund Me.
Artists participating in this year´s festival include Ellen & Steve, Cool for Cats, The Sane Patrick Band, Dan Trayers, Lou Hindes, Mick Bennett & Conor Sloan, Joey Bracken, Sergio de Jesús Padrón, Dave Timmons, Mick Garry, Dave Bandana, Max Santalucia, Al Murphy, Francesca, and the Wild Rose Duo with international video participation from Kenny May (UK), Tommy Gunn (New York), Paul Behan (California), Groove Machine (Ireland), The Famara Project featuring Maverick Humanity (UK), Jonathan Green (UK) and Lukas Horst (Germany).
